Ipecac Recordings, the iconic independent record label founded by Greg Werckman and Mike Patton, celebrates its 25th anniversary, with the San Francisco-born label established on April 1, 1999.

BMC Dance, performances and conversations with choreographers Eleanor Hullihan, Rashaun Mitchell, Silas Riener and Mina Nishimura, is set for Saturday, August 5, 2023 at  Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center.

‘Second Variety’ follows the critically acclaimed 2019 album ‘Handfuls Of Night’, which was inspired by Arthur Jeffes’ expedition where he re-created famous explorer Scott’s last Antarctic trip in 1911. This was followed by the 10th anniversary reissue of their debut album, titled ‘A Matter of Life… 2021’.

Dave Lombardo will release his debut solo album, Rites of Percussion. The 13-track collection, previewed with the release of “Journey of the Host,' is the result of a 40-year career that saw Lombardo rise to prominence as a co-founder of Slayer, earn two GRAMMY-Awards, and expand his repertoire across genres.

On 'Daphne', Kian Blume partnered with Michael Orland, who is best known for his work with American Idol and producer Miklos Malek (Jennifer Lopez, Anastacia). Inspired by an eclectic mix of artists such as Mike Patton, Primus, Michael Bublé, Bobby Darin and composers Chopin and Satie, Kian Blume’s sophisticated multi-faceted sound is undeniable.

Mr. Bungle, the Melvins and Spotlights join forces this Spring, resurrecting Ipecac Recordings’ storied Geek Show tour, with the labelmates performing several shows across the Western U.S. Not only do the dates mark the label’s first bundled tour since 2004, but most of these cities will see their first Mr. Bungle performances in 22 years.

The single, like the rest of the EP, was written and produced by Brooks. It follows “Sound The Alarm,” which features Patrick Stump and was the first bit of music Brooks revealed off of The 40HZ, and his first for Dine Alone. In addition to Stump and Moore the EP will also feature guest appearances by Jason Aalon Butler, and Paul Leary.

Dead Cross, the SoCal band featuring Michael Crain, Dave Lombardo, Mike Patton and Justin Pearson, release a second single from their forthcoming album II (Ipecac Recordings) with the release of “Heart Reformer” and its accompanying video. The band broke the news of II’s impending arrival with the release of “Reign of Error.”

Equal parts Bugs Bunny and Guillermo del Toro, THE SLAUGHTER BROTHERS DIME CIRCUS - A RADIO FANTASY is a meta-theatrical reflection on the nature of power and revenge. A highly theatrical blend of low-end carnival, violent vaudeville, clowns with issues, and insectoid horror, elevated by original music by Sullivan and Matthew Reid that can best be described as the unholy spawn of ironic German cabaret, swampy rhythm and blues, and carnival music of the damned.
