TOSCA, FAUST and THE BARBER OF SEVILLE Set for Atlanta Opera's 2013-14 Season

Related: Atlanta Opera, Tosca, Faust, The Barber of Seville

The fourth annual 24-Hour Opera Project (24HOP) will take place November 1-2, 2013 and will be a key event included in National Opera Week, a week promoted by OPERA America to celebrate the vitality of opera in America as a contemporary cultural expression. With national attention, the 24-Hour Opera project has grown in scope to include five compositions and performing teams. The 24HOP provides an opportunity for composers, lyricists, stage directors, and singers from around the country to create new works around an assigned theme that is revealed at the project kick-off. The Project culminates at the end of the 24 hours with a showcase performance and live webcast. This event is free and open to the public. Video highlights from the 2013 24HOP are available for viewing at atlantaopera.org.

The 2013 Atlanta Opera Ball: Puccini's Palazzo will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead. The evening will be themed after the season's opening production, Tosca, and will feature a gourmet dinner, dancing, and luxury items in the silent and live auctions. This year's ball chairs are Chris Casey and Doug Weiss. Currently available for purchase are table-level sponsorships at $3,500 and patron-level sponsorships at $1,500. Single tickets are $350 per person and will be available August 1, 2013. To learn more about The Atlanta Opera Ball or to purchase tickets, please contact Allison DeNiro at 404-591-2928 or visit atlantaopera.org.
