New York Library for the Performing Arts to Honor Giovanni Consiglio in Concert 10/1

The New York Library for the Performing Arts of the Lincoln Center, on 1st of October 2010, at 7:00pm will honor Maestro Giovanni Consiglio, an opera singer with a fantastic international career over decades. Maestro Consiglio was born in a small village called San Marco la Catola, in Puglia.

The concert will be performed by tenors Luciano Lamonarca and Enzo Pizzimenti, soprano Jessika Slatkoff Artega and Mezzo Soprano Helen Fanelli. At piano, Georgianna Pappas. Presenter, Bill Russo.

For this special occasion, the government of Puglia, through the Office for Culture, Tourism, Peace and Mediterranean area, will recognize the outstanding career of Maestro Consiglio, awarding him with the prestigious Medal of Honor for cultural merits.

Even more, the Mayor of San Marco la Catola will attend the concert, proclaiming the tenor an honorary citizen and handing him the key of the city of San Marco la Catola.

Our guests of honor will be Maestro Giovanni Consiglio and his wife Marion and the famous American conductor Maestro Anton Coppola, who directed Opera for over 50 years all around the world, composed the opera "Sacco & Vanzetti" and conducted two most famous film scores, like "The God Father III" and "Dracula", directed by the world renowned film director Francis Ford Coppola.

The cost for the concert-event is $20 per ticket and can be purchased in two ways:

1. through the website of the Puglia Center of America, http://www.pugliacenterofamerica.com/benvenuti-ing.html, by clicking on "DONATE". You will be transferred to a PayPal account, where you can make your donation and write in the subject box "Maestro Giovanni Consiglio".

2. you can send a check made payable to "Puglia Center of America" to the following address: PUGLIA CENTER OF AMERICA/ICCA, 551 Westchester Avenue, Rye Brook, New York, 10573. Please indicate your email address.

A ticket will be sent to you by email. You can print it and bring it with you at the box office of the Auditorium, or you can choose to pick up the ticket at the entrance the day of the concert. The entrance to the theatre is: 111 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, NY 10023.

If you are coming by subway, you can take the 1 train and get off on the 66 Street- Lincoln Center. Walk down on the 66th Street until you reach Amsterdam Avenue, and then keep left.
